Primark Policy Update 2026: £13 Rule Rolled Out Across All UK Stores With Immediate Effect

Primark is introducing a £13 minimum wage across all its UK stores this month. The retailer with locations throughout Birmingham is now paying a higher average hourly rate for all retail assistants in England Scotland and Wales & £13.71 per hour in London.

The company says that alongside the hourly rate increase workers will continue to receive a 15% year-round discount plus other benefits. Kari Rodgers who is the UK retail director at the chain said that retail has become a more demanding environment and their colleagues play an important role in supporting customers and local communities across the country.
