DWP PIP Eligibility Update 2026: 178 Medical Conditions Qualify For £194 Weekly

Starting in April, the Department for Work and Pensions will raise the amount of money it gives out in Personal Independence Payments (PIP). You might get this money.

The DWP has put out a full list of 178 medical conditions that could make you eligible for weekly support of £194.60 if you meet the requirements.

DWP PIP Eligibility Update

As the new fiscal year approaches, this payment and other benefits will go up. People who need extra help with daily tasks can get PIP payments. This disability benefit is available to people who have long-term physical or mental health problems, disabilities, or learning disabilities. People who get help in the fiscal year 2026–2027 will get either £80 or £114.60 per week, depending on how much they need. PIP is meant to help people who need help with daily tasks, especially those who are of State Pension age and want to stay independent at home. You don’t have to pay taxes on these payments, and they don’t depend on how much money you make.

DWP says that starting in April, PIP rates will go up by £375 every year.

The Express says that you don’t need to have a lot of money or pay National Insurance to get PIP. This means that even if you work, have savings, or get other benefits, you can still get the payments to help you with daily tasks.

How much does it cost to get PIP?

These are the most recent weekly rates, and payments will start in April. But it’s important to remember that PIP is paid every four weeks:

Daily living component: £114.60 per week £76.70 per week
£80.00 per week for the mobility component £30.30 per week for the other component

If you qualify for both the enhanced daily living and enhanced mobility components, you will get £194.60 every four weeks.

Every four weeks, you will get £107.
